Dupont State Forest is truly a state treasure with fabulous hiking trails leading to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the area - and it's only a few minutes away from the cabin.

The world famous, 250-room Biltmore Estate in only 45 minutes away near Asheville. Enjoy self-guided tours of the grand house, gardens and grounds. The Estate also has horseback riding, hiking and biking trails.

The North Carolina Arboretum offers a gorgeous 434-acre public garden with a wide range of activities for all ages. It also has lovely hiking and biking trails.

Holmes Educational Forest is a walk or very short drive away and has many splendid hiking trails and a campground.

Chimney Rock Park has hiking trails, a 404 foot waterfall and spectacular 75 mile views.
